Beyond the Surface

Art that lives beneath the light. Stories that surface when you look closer.

Elisa Palchetti is a mixed media artist based in Folsom, California, working at the intersection of portraiture, fluid art, and conceptual storytelling. Her practice explores the interior landscape of trauma and transformation — translating psychological experience into layered, tactile, and luminous visual form. Using oil, acrylic, fluid techniques, sculptural plaster, UV-reactive and phosphorescent pigments, and upcycled materials — reclaiming discarded sport equipment and found surfaces, and transforming what others have cast aside into something that carries new meaning — she builds paintings that hold more than one story at a time. Her work invites viewers not just to observe, but to feel.

Beyond the Surface — Volume I

Twenty original paintings created between 2024 and 2026, each mapping a distinct psychological stage in the passage from shadow to light. The collection moves as a single continuous narrative — a visual journey through grief, resilience, and emergence — rendered in mixed media that layers fluid art, oil, acrylic, sculptural plaster, and three-dimensional elements onto repurposed and upcycled substrates.

UV-reactive and glow-in-the-dark pigments are embedded throughout, so that hidden layers within each work reveal themselves only under certain light conditions, inviting multiple, evolving encounters with the same piece. The collection also extends beyond the canvas: hand-painted wearable pieces and accessories form an Art Couture component, and a companion children's book series brings these themes to younger audiences.

Beyond the Surface — Volume I is conceived as an immersive, multisensory installation that engages all five senses — not a conventional wall-hung exhibition. Lighting shifts across the space activate UV and phosphorescent elements, transforming the room as viewers move through it, so the experience of the work changes from moment to moment. Elisa welcomes conversations with venues, curators, and producers interested in presenting the collection in its full experiential form.

Elisa is available for interviews, studio visits, and feature coverage. High-resolution images, artist biography, collection notes, and press materials are available on request. She welcomes journalists, editors, and content creators drawn to stories about art, healing, identity, and the intersection of fine art and fashion.

If you are a gallerist, curator, or arts organization interested in presenting Beyond the Surface — Volume I, Elisa would love to hear from you. She is actively seeking exhibition opportunities that can accommodate the collection's immersive vision, and is open to solo and group presentations, pop-ups, and collaborative events.
